- Information found: (Quint Buchholz was born in Stolberg, near Aachen, in 1957 and grew up in Stuttgart. Today he is living in Munich. He began studying art history in Munich before studying painting and graphic arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. Since 1979 he has worked as an illustrator and painter for various publishing houses in Germany and abroad. He has illustrated more than 30 books, many of which have received awards. Buchholz established his reputation with illustrations for numerous books, including works by Jostein Gaarder, Elke Heidenreich and Amos Oz, and through the design of many book covers and posters. Since 1982 his works have been shown in more than 70 exhibitions.)
